The logistics industry has warned ministers that ambitious electric vehicle targets will achieve little unless the infrastructure and operating conditions exist to support them.
The Government is preparing to publish further details of its modelling on the total cost of ownership of electric heavy goods vehicles as the road transport industry continues to question the commercial viability of replacing diesel trucks.
