The new IVECO S-Way Natural Gas CNG boosts its impressive capabilities further with a new 6x2 option, enabling operators to dramatically reduce fleet emissions and meet challenging CSR targets, while also running at 44-tonnes GVW. With refuelling times comparable to diesel, this new configuration, in partnership with Astra Vehicle Technologies, allows more missions than ever to reduce CO2 by up to 95% when running on biomethane versus an equivalent diesel truck.

Chassis conversion specialists Astra Vehicle Technologies were selected to equip the 17.5” axle. At the heart of the IVECO S-Way CNG 6x2 is the advanced XCURSOR 13 engine. Its 12.9-litre unit makes this IVECO the most powerful mono-fuel Natural Gas truck on the market, generating an unrivalled 500hp. Expertly engineered, this engine takes the success of its predecessor even further - lighter, stronger, and even more efficient than before. Weighing up to 10% less with CO2 emissions down by up to 8% over its forefather, this high-performance engine is ready for any mission.
Efficiency can be further boosted via a series of CO2 combating options. Aerodynamic Mirror Cams not only boost visibility beyond traditional mirrors, but also deliver a fuel saving benefit of up to 1.5% thanks to reduced drag. The new High Performance Engine brake is now 30% more effective and is capable of substituting the retarder in most mission scenarios, granting better efficiency. An additional saving yields from the advanced Predictive Cruise Control that utilises topographical data to optimise vehicle running.
Impressive engineering is also found inside the AS cab that features an improved ‘car-like’ seating position, excellent all-around visibility, and impressive ergonomics. Technology courses through the new IVECO S-Way, with a customisable digital instrument cluster delivering the exacting information you need behind the wheel.
