Liberty Charge expands EV charge point business with new senior hires, focusing on tailored, cost-free installation solutions for businesses.

Liberty Charge, the electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator (CPO) committed to delivering the UK’s most reliable, publicly accessible EV charging network, is fuelling the growth of its newly-launched, free-installation charge point business solution with the appointment of two Senior Business Development Managers.

Kevin Ledger and Dan Lessiter join Liberty Charge, bringing more than 35 years client relationship experience between them across various industries, most recently supporting the creation of EV charging networks.

Kevin was previously a Regional Business Development Manager for EV and Regional Operations at a nationwide contracting business. He was responsible for leading the EV and associated charging infrastructure for home, depot and public charging. His prior experience includes within facilities management and mechanical and electrical services contracting.

Dan Lessiter joins Liberty Charge from a major energy provider, where he gained extensive experience in helping businesses with practical solutions to help them meet ESG targets and net zero goals – with EV charging a key solution.

Dan was driven to join Liberty Charge because of its ability to support the private sector in achieving the UK’s sustainable transport goals:

Liberty Charge is clearing a major obstacle to the installation of EV infrastructure by helping the private sector understand there is no need for capital or operational expenditure investments. And they don’t have to accept generic EV charging infrastructure solutions. They can have a tailored, end-to-end service that takes them from EV strategy development through to maintenance – all at zero cost.

Kevin agrees:

There is no one size fits all. There are many myths about charging speeds, connection types and the number of charging bays needed. But we help businesses dispel those myths, and design bespoke systems based on the local energy supply and the range of charging speeds and equipment that will be most appealing and useful to a business’s stakeholders. Overall, my experience and role at Liberty Charge puts me in an ideal position to help businesses enhance car parking revenues and deliver great customer service.

Neil Isaacson, Liberty Charge CEO, says Kevin and Dan have an excellent understanding of different businesses and their stakeholders’ needs:

Their insight, coupled with their previous expertise in delivering EV infrastructure, means they can support businesses efficiently to implement charging solutions that attract customers and deliver revenue. They are integral to our goal of increasing the pace of EV infrastructure development in the UK.

Our ‘always-on’ business model relies on ensuring charge points are always operational and used as much as possible, and therefore inherently mitigates downtime, helping businesses to increase footfall and dwell time.
