Ogilvie Fleet partners with ChargedEV to simplify home charging for EV drivers

Ogilvie Fleet has partnered with ChargedEV to make home EV charging simpler, faster and more accessible for its leasing clients who are transitioning to electric vehicles.

Building on a long-standing relationship between the two businesses, this partnership provides clients with the option to fund their drivers’ home charger and installation costs via their rental agreement.

Clients who use the service are able to add the cost of an Indra Smart Pro domestic charge point and standard installation to their monthly vehicle rental, spread out over the duration of the contract at no extra cost.

The new approach removes the upfront cost and administration involved in installing home charging infrastructure for drivers, which is one of the most common barriers to EV adoption. By integrating charger costs into the rental agreement, businesses can streamline budgeting, offer a tangible employee benefit and ensure drivers have reliable charging access from day one.

Once a driver opts into the service, ChargedEV manages the end-to-end onboarding process, from carrying out a home survey and outlining technical requirements, through to a formal quotation and installation, which is typically completed within three weeks. The driver portal allows optional extras or alternative chargers to be selected, with the difference paid for by the driver.

The partnership reflects the strong alignment between the two organisations, which are both vendor-agnostic, providing independent advice and tailored solutions that meet the needs of individual customers rather than promoting a one-size or one product-fits-all approach.

ChargedEV delivers a nationwide design, supply, installation and maintenance service for commercial and domestic customers requiring EV charging. ChargedEV has been operating since 2013 and is one of the UK’s most established EV charging providers, with over 70,000 domestic installations and more than 3,000 commercial and fleet projects delivered nationwide.
